Worship Service for 3 Lent
February 28 Worship Service for 2 Lent
From Lament to Praise
Join us Sunday as we journey with Fr. Randy through Psalm 22, moving from lament, worry, and sadness to praise and glory as we recall all God's mercies.
February 21 Service for 1 Lent
Let's go find Jesus in the wilderness!
Sunday's gospel reading affirms Jesus as Son of God after his baptism. Then, in a surprise twist, instead of starting his ministry on earth, the Holy Spirit drives Jesus into the wilderness where he is tempted for 40 days--affirming Jesus as Son of Man. During this Lent, let us go find Jesus, trusting in his grace, mercy, and power to overcome the temptations of our lives. For when we are filled with God, our appetite for sin goes away!
Service for Ash Wednesday
Hear the invitation to a holy Lent!
An invitation to holiness, being set apart for God.
Turning away from the world, the flesh and the devil.
Turning toward God.
February 14 Worship Service for Last Epiphany
God's Light Shines through His Word!
That our sin would be revealed and our lives transformed into his likeness, God shines his light upon us through his word, holy scripture.
February 7 Worship Service for 5 Epiphany
World Mission Sunday!
Jesus came with a mission–to proclaim the Kingdom of God, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. His mission continues in and though our lives today, unto the ends of the earth!
January 31 Hymn & Homily for 4 Epiphany
Come Be with Jesus!
Sunday's gospel reading reminds us of what's in store when we come together on the Sabbath. Jesus is with us! We get to watch the miracles he performs in our lives and those around us. He does astounding things. Come and see!
January 24 Worship Service for 3 Epiphany
🙄 Keep your eyes open to God! Epiphany continues...
Epiphany: A sudden insight into the essential nature of something or someone. A moment of clarity. In Sunday's gospel reading, fishermen encounter Jesus in the midst of their daily work. God reveals himself to us all along our faith journey. His light compels us to see. Will we choose to keep our eyes open?
January 17 Worship Service for 2 Epiphany
How do we come to see the light of Christ?
In Sunday's scripture readings we will see some of the ways Jesus manifests himself to us. From John 1 we learn God knows us before we know him and that when we have a desire to know God--coming to him, even with all our questions--He is faithful to reveal himself.
January 10 Worship Service for 1 Epiphany
Let There Be Light!
In the beginning, God said, Let there be light. And the light was good.
Epiphany is the season of light--God revealed. And just as natural light lets us see the natural world, divine light lets us see God and his kingdom surrounding us. Indeed, at Jesus' baptism, he shows us how to enter into the light of God by heeding John the Baptist's call to repentance and holiness.
January 3 Worship Service for 2 Christmas
Holiness brings us to happiness in heavenly places! Worship with us Sunday for prayers, four Christmas songs, and Fr. Randy teaching from the wonderful theology presented by Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1.
December 27 Worship Service for 1 Christmas
Hear the Most Compelling Story as told from the Gospel of John for the first Sunday after Christmas.
Christmas Eve Zoom Silent Night!
December 24 Worship Service for Christmas Eve
The Great Light Came to All People!
"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone."
Isaiah 9:2
Experience the joy of Christ's coming humbly for all people.
Experience the joy in contemplating Christ coming again in power!
December 20 Worship Service for 4 Advent
The coming of Jesus and a new covenant were long foretold--and they arrived together. The new law is to love God and love our neighbors. It's all about love. What does it look like to obey the law of love? Tune in to find out.
December 13 Worship Service for 3 Advent
Lay hold of the joy of Jesus' presence!
The third Sunday of Advent is a time of joy, a time to be thankful for all that has been given--and all that has been forgiven. Joy is not a fleeting happiness. Biblical joy is a condition of our hearts that cannot be touched by the circumstances of the world. Our joy comes from the presence of the Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Everlasting Father. Fr. Jack asks us, Is that our story? Have we been set free from the prison of sin and hopelessness? Our debts have been erased! Live in joy!
December 6 Worship Service for 2 Advent
On this second Sunday of Advent, Fr. Randy reviews Old and New Testament readings where God calls us to repentance--and offers us comfort. "Comfort, o comfort my people," says your God.
Come get "right-sized" with us as we place our faith and trust in Jesus who came to save us from our sin.
November 29 Worship Service for 1 Advent
Advent is a time of preparation. A time of anticipating the arrival of our Savior. In this sermon, Fr. Jack calls us to keep alert. Jesus has come, and he will come again. How will you prepare your heart? There is no more special occasion than when Jesus arrives to be with us!
November 22 Worship Service for Christ the King Sunday
Fr. Randy led us through our Gospel text (Matthew 25:31-46) to consider how we are preparing for Christ's return. Are we sheep? Are we goats? How do we know? The difference is huge. "Come you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world" vs "You are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."
November 15 Worship Service for 24 Pentecost
As we move toward the conclusion of the season of Pentecost, the historical era of the Church on earth, our scripture readings point to the coming of our Lord. We begin to see a transition toward a conclusion. Join Fr. Jack as he explores passages from both the Old and New Testaments.
November 8 Worship Service for 23 Pentecost
Fr. Randy's sermon is taken from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25, where ten bridesmaids are waiting for the bridegroom--but not all have prepared for his coming. Listen in and feast on God's Word.
November 1 Worship Service for All Saints Day
We celebrate All Saints Day, a day of remembrance, in anticipation of a glorious reunion. Fr. Jack's sermon asks us to reflect on who the saints have been in our lives. Then the Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered with special intentions for those saints dear to us who have departed this earthly life.
October 25 Worship Service for 21 Pentecost
Fr. Randy's sermon calls upon us to work at understanding how much God loves us, to commit ourselves to prayer and scripture reading that reveals his love. Then our trust in him will grow. And when we trust him fully, our fears subside.
October 18 Worship Service for 20 Pentecost
Indoors and online! We're in the Adventists' main sanctuary with Carolyn on piano and Fr. Jack preaching on Paul's letter to the Thessalonians (and us!). Paul writes to strengthen their faith and assure them of their hope.
October 11 Worship Service for 19 Pentecost
Fr. Randy reminds us that Holy Scripture is our cornerstone. We cannot reject scripture for our own plans or we'll have a faulty foundation. Listen in as he explores the parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22:1-14.
October 4 Worship Service for 18 Pentecost
What is your core emotional state of being today? Sadness - Fear - Anger?
Paul's Epistle to the Philippians calls us to rejoice and to live in joy! This joy is not dependent on external circumstances - the events taking place in the world or the situations we find ourselves in. It is joy that comes from the knowledge that through faith we are "In Christ" - living in His grace and with the hope of the resurrection. From this joy and hope comes the goal of the Christian life: The high, heavenly calling of God.

September 27 Worship Service for 17 Pentecost
The full liturgy and mini messages from both Philippians 2 and Matthew 21.
September 20 Worship Service for 16 Pentecost
This week's sermon focus is the book of Jonah--a fascinating story about what happens when we either say yes or no to God. In Jonah we learn that as God's people we have a prophetic calling to bear God's grace to the wicked in the world, so that they too may repent and come to know him.
September 13 Worship Service for 15 Pentecost
Our first live stream from the church courtyard under the tarps! Fr. Randy speaks on our insurmountable debt and God's  forgiveness (Matthew 18:21-35). P.S. Yes, we'll be working on improving the sound quality. :-)
September 7 Worship Service for 14 Pentecost
There is a golden thread running through our scripture readings this morning describing something marvelous - something that started in the at the very beginning of creation and will continue for all eternity. It is the Community of God's People: Formed around God's Word; Prophetic; and Based in Love. Join us for today's sermon to hear more and consider how we too are called to participate in our time.

August 30 Worship Service for 13 Pentecost
Need a change of perspective? Fr. Randy recommends an eternal one--as prescribed by Jesus in our readings today: Matthew 16:21-28 and Romans 12:9-21.
August 23 Worship Service for 12 Pentecost
Who is Jesus? That's the central question of today's Gospel reading in Matthew 16. Jesus asked, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is? Then he gets personal. "But who do you say that I am?" Let's consider together with Fr. Jack.
August 16 Worship Service for 11 Pentecost
"Lord, help me," the Canaanite persisted as she knelt before Jesus. "...even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." And Jesus responded, "Woman, great is your faith!" May we be so persistent in our faith when discouraged and God seems far off. Join the service and hear Fr. Randy preach from Matthew 15!
August 9 Worship Service for 10 Pentecost
Jesus said, "Come," and Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water 🌊--but then noticed the strong wind 💨 and became frightened. Fr. Jack shares the Matthew 14 picture of God's grace as we leap out in faith to follow him.
August 2 Worship Service for 9 Pentecost
Can God set a banquet in the desert? Yes! Bring what you have to God. He'll bless it and make it do what he wants. Today Fr. Randy's message centers around Jesus meeting the needs of thousands of followers in "a deserted place" when the hour was late. He instructed the disciples to bring what food they had--5 loaves of bread and two fish. He blessed it, and all ate and were filled. Wow!!! Listen in.
July 26 Worship Service for 8 Pentecost
Ever wonder about that oft-quoted (partial) verse, "All things work together for good"? Well stay tuned. Fr. Randy's in Romans 8 with some insights and declaring, "The Holy Spirit is not a third wheel."
July 19 Worship Service for 7 Pentecost
Step out of the world and into the Kingdom of Heaven! You're invited. Join us for the Liturgy of the Word and Fr. Jack's sermon from Matthew 13 where Jesus explains that the Kingdom of Heaven is our present reality. Jesus brought the kingdom. We can live in the presence of God now. Listen in--there's a spiritual assignment at the end!
July 12 Worship Service for 6 Pentecost
Sermon by Fr. Randy Messick from Roman's 8 which begins, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus..." Which may prompt you to ask, Does the Spirit of God dwell in me? Tune in to learn more about the connection of our spiritual and physical lives.
July 5 Worship Service for 5 Pentecost
Sermon by Fr. Jack Estes teaching from Matthew 11. In the midst of this pandemic and angst, it's hard not to be burdened with fear and uncertainty. We want resolution. God is calling us to a different reality--a beautiful invitation to come live in God's presence and rest. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
June 28 Worship Service for 4 Pentecost

Sermon by Fr. Randy Messick: Romans 6:1b-11, how the Holy Spirit empowers us to turn from self-centeredness and fear to love and service.
June 7 Worship Service for Trinity Sunday
Sermon by Fr. Jack Estes: The Trinity is a mystery that's on display throughout Holy Scripture--beginning with Genesis 1--and asks, How can we not believe in the Trinity? It is God's revelation to us. And we believe it because God is infinite as the starlit sky, and we are finite. So it is the Trinity that we declare with confidence each time we recite the Nicene Creed.

Ascension Kids Spotlight!

Moses speaks to God through a burning bush!
Here's the exciting conclusion of the story of Joseph and his amazing works. We return to Egypt, where the famine that was predicted has arrived. Throughout this video Miss Audraey and Miss Stephanie talk about how no one went hungry during the famine. And we learn that Joseph's brothers return and show how they had changed their mean ways. :-)
Do you know how Joseph was able to help the Pharaoh of Egypt? Hint: Pharaoh was having some bad dreams. Listen in as Miss Stephanie and Miss Audraey explain.
This week's lesson is the story of how Joseph was wrongfully put in jail, but met a wine steward and a baker! Joseph tells his newfound friends what their dreams mean.
Here's the beginning of Joseph's story from the Old Testament! He had 10 older brothers, his dad had given him a beautiful coat, and he had dreams sent to him from God. Oh, and his brothers were not very kind to him. :-/
Sticking with the Old Testament, this week Miss Stephanie and Miss Audraey introduce us to Abraham and how God appeared to him many times throughout his life.
Do you know why people started speaking in different languages? Well it all started with the Tower of Babel...
This week we begin the lessons of the Old Testament. First up is the story of Noah and the Ark and how it is important to keep promises like God has kept his.
This week’s lesson is on the importance of prayer and how our words go up to Heaven, like how a balloon goes up to the sky!
The disciple Matthew had been a tax collector. Tax collectors had a bad reputation and were not well liked by the people around them. Listen in and also learn how important it is to be fair and share.
In this story, Miss Audraey and Miss Stephanie talk about a journey the disciples James and John were making alongside Jesus and how these brothers were taught to use patience and kindness instead of anger. 👍🏽👍🏽
Listen in...
Now let's learn about Andrew, another disciple of Jesus. Andrew played a major role in helping feed 5000 people with 2 little fishes and 5 loaves of bread--one of the most amazing miracles of Jesus Christ!
This week's lesson is about Peter, the first disciple of Jesus! Miss Audraey and Miss Stephanie go over what made Peter so important and how he is the rock of the church. This is also the beginning of our upcoming lessons based on the disciples!
On the road to Damascus, Paul saw the light of God and was changed forever.
The Prodigal Son story teaches us about our Father's great love.
Listen in to hear how Jesus spoke to his disciples and asked them to spread the good news of God, how it’s similar to what a missionary does, and how we can be a missionary at home!
In this video, Miss Audraey and Miss Stephanie talk about apples 🍎...and help kids understand the Trinity. Be sure to stick around for the bloopers! 😁
